This chefs knife is forged from 15n20 high carbon steel with a handle of mallee burl impregnated with black resin and a brass bolster. It is designed as a full size chefs knife with a fine cuting edge. The handle has been carved to comfortably fit the users hand in any style of grip, with a brass collar that steps the hand down to pinch the spine of the blade. The blade has been ground to easily slice meat and vegitables cleanly, while also being deigned for durability as an all round workhorse, complete with sheath.
Every blade that I forge is heat treated in a temperature-controlled kiln to optimize hardness, toughness and carbide formation ensuring the steel performs to the maximum of its capabilities. This helps guarantee an excellent cutting edge and the durability of the blade through years of use.
